What We Treasure...

Even though most students have only experienced 11 years on this planet, they know when things are special or important to them. I find their unique perspective on this to be a lesson to us all. Treasures come in all shapes and sizes. They are expensive things, they are cheap things, they are large items, or small items. What matters about this treasure is WHO gave it to them and what it represents.
For the record, no one brought iPads, mp3s, game boxes, or clothes. Everyone brought items that were made or given to them from someone they love.
A lesson for what's REALLY important.

Here are a few of our treasures:
Adrian & baby shoes

Donovan & the bullet shells fired from his dad's military burial

Natasia & a scrapbook of pictures of her mom

Dominic and his rare coins collection.

Zavi and his football trophy
Kobi and his dog's collar.

Kyle & his dreamcatchers

Jadin and his dog, Sissy.

Marie and her teddy.

GG and her pen

Madi and her porcelain doll

Sammi and her family

Ellie and her treasure box.

April and Barbie!

TJ and his jacket.

Nishoni and the picture of her cousin.
