Homework (and Late Work) Alert!!!!

Tonight for homework your child must sing the following song:

The Water Cycle
(To the tune of “She’ll Be Coming Around the Mountain”)

The water has a cycle, yes it does!
(draw circle with finger)
Oh, the water has a cycle, yes it does!
(draw circle with finger)
It goes up as evaporation
(wiggle fingers as you move hands upward)
Forms a cloud of condensation
(make a cloud with your hands)
Then falls down as precipitation, yes it does!
(make the rain fall by wiggling your fingers)

The water has a cycle, yes it does!
Oh, the water has a cycle, yes it does!
It goes up as evaporation
Forms a cloud of condensation
Then falls down as precipitation, yes it does

Junior Miss Navajo County!!

Last night at the fair, one of our classmates won second runner up at the Junior Miss Navajo County pageant! Not only is she a beautiful person inside and out, but Bailey is a great friend, helpful to her classmates, and always has a friendly smile! The judges noticed this warm personality (and her amazing folklorico dancing skills!), and awarded her with a second runner up trophy!

Way to go, Bailey! We are very proud of you!!

September Students of the Month!

Can you believe it's September already?! With this new month comes our new Students of the Month! We are excited to get to know Emma and Skyler better! They have already brought their baby pictures and told us a little about themselves! Next up, show and tell! As Students of the Month, Skyler and Emma will be teacher's helper, they will be responsible for classroom activities, and they will be picked for various projects at Hulet.

Factor Rainbows!

Last week we were working on factors of a number. Factors are the two numbers you use to get a bigger number. For example: 3 and 4 are factors of 12. If you multiply 3x4 then you will get 12 as an answer. 1x12 are also factors of 12 6x2 are as well. Finding all the factors of a number is an important skill so you can make different groupings of the same number.

To make math a little more "fun" we created picture rainbows connecting the factors of a number together. Take a look at these wonderful pictures!
