The End of Our Year...

I can't believe our year together has come and gone. It's feels cliche to say, "It's feels like only yesterday.." but the cliche is true. It feels like only yesterday we were put together in room 20. When I dreamed of teaching my own class of kids, making a change, and becoming a family--you are the class I dreamed of. Together we took care of one another. We looked out for each other. We stood up to bad situations and demanded proper treatment of our peers. When one of us was sick, we helped. If one of us was sad, we told jokes. All year. Every day. It's times like these I thank God for bringing us together. You restored my faith in teaching. You kept me happy and smiling all year long. I enjoyed coming to school every day for the hopes of working together and learning. You will ALL have a special place in my heart. I will never forget you.

Our Promotion Ceremony!

I can't believe that 179 days have passed us by! It seems like only yesterday I was receiving my class of 22 5th graders. And now... with one day left... I'm passing those 5th graders on to 6th grade.
I have LOVED each and every one of those 179 days with your kids and I'm so sad to see it end. Below our pictures of our own promotion ceremony. (And yes, there were lots of tears...mostly me.)

End of the Year Party

Tears have been shed, memories have been made!
It's the end of the year!!

Dear Parents/Guardians

We are having our end of the year party tomorrow Friday the 24^th you can bring any food! If you can bring a pillow and blanket. We’ll watch a movie eat definitely say our good byes. Remember to wear your Treformers shirt and we hope to see you there and have a blast :)

A big THANK YOU to Officer Olson for all of his great lessons to teach us how to be Drug Free! As a conclusion to learning the steps of D.A.R.E. the Holbrook Police Department grilled lunch for us and opened up the city pool. To say we had fun is an understatement!!! Check out our pictures below!

All She (or He) Wants To Do Is Dance!

Our final Tuesday and our final dance lesson. I have LOVED imparting my years of dance knowledge on a great group of eager learners! Below are pictures of our dance lesson from the last style of dance--lyrical/ballet. (That one is my favorite!)


Correct feet is the beginning to any ballet warm-up!

Ballet uses a lot of strength and power to hold a pose gracefully! And these girls are experts!

After a few tries at lyrical the kids wanted to learn some more steps to other music. Here are our kick line moves!! Watch out Rocket City Kick Line!!
