SS State Reports

We have had some magnificent state presentations from the students in our class.
Click on the link below each student's name or picture. When you get to the Google Documents page, click on the top right side "Start Presentation." Enjoy!

Ellie: Wyoming
Ellie chose Wyoming because of her family's link to this great state.

One can only guess which state Kobi did..Kobi's family is from Kansas. He loves Kansas basketball and owns everything Kansas!!
Here is his presentation on Kansas!

It's no surprise Jelena picked Florida for her state report. She visits Disney World almost every year. You can see in her attire that she is loving every trip she takes!

Beautiful scenery, nice cool summers--it's no wonder Gabrielle picks Maine as her state report!

April's mom was so excited when April picked Montana as her state. April had fun coloring pages, maps, and work pages galore! We are all now well informed about this amazing state!
Edit: The one saved to the Docs is April's original unfinished ppt. We will have this edited and fixed when school resumes.
Ah, the sun, the sand.... Hawaii. Whenever you think of this beautiful state you can't help but imagine yourself at a luau soaking up sun and surf. Lucky Nishoni was here to tell us all about it!

Michigan! Makes you think of last Saturday when Alabama beat them in football... (okay, maybe that's just me because I'm an Alabama fan!) When I really think of Michigan I think about all the snow and the beautiful views of Lake Michigan! Lucky for us, Jadin could enlighten us and share tons of knowledge about this great state.

When I think of Oklahoma, I always want to sing the song from the musical. Too bad for us that Natasha didn't break into song and dance. I'm sure that would have been quite entertaining. She did bring us wheat bread and delicious creamy butter. The grains produced to make this delicious bread are from her state of Oklahoma.

You're probably asking yourself right now about the item Tyler is holding. Well you'd guess correctly if you said potatoes. I don't know any other thing Idaho is famous for besides potatoes. We were lucky because Tyler didn't just bring them as a prop; his mom baked us potatoes to eat! Yum! Yum!!! Tyler and Orin both worked on PowerPoints. Orin was absent the day Tyler presented, but I have included their PPT below.

Brr! It's cold in Alaska! The state Cameron picked for her presentation. She brought her presentation in on a disk and I was unable to attach it to the blog. I will tell you that Cameron looked the part in this parka. She was a trooper too since it was a good 90 degrees in class that day!!

DeVonta was happy and excited to share some delicious California orange juice with us today. We learned all about California, our neighbor to the west.

We've learned a lot in reading class about the great state of Washington, not to be confused with D.C. Adrian was able to share this valuable information and more with us during his presentation.

Natasia brought in some delicious fruits from her state of Nevada. We had a wide assortment and gobbled it right up! As soon as Natasia saves it to the Hulet file, I will upload it for your viewing.

We still need a few students to finish presenting and grades will follow!

Great job to all the kids!!
