Number the Stars

During 2nd quarter, we had an opportunity to read Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. It is classified under the genre of historical fiction because it concentrates on Denmark during WWII. During this time in history Denmark was occupied by Nazi Germany and at this time people who were Jewish were being taken from their homes and sent to concentration camp.
For our projects, we created dioramas to explain each chapter.

These dioramas turned out SOOOOOOOOOO great! I am very proud of their hard work. 

At the end of our learning experience, we had Dylan's grandmother come and teach our class a few German phrases.

She even brought German chocolates for us to eat!
