Dear Parents!

Thank you for bringing snacks, eggs, and allowing your child to watch Where the Red Fern Grows (one of my favorite books and movies!) Enjoy our pictures below!

Science Activities
Science is cool. There are a lot of different experiments that you can try to showcase the properties of science. During the month of April, we will be working on physics. This includes: force, motion, gravity, inertia, work, energy, and momentum (just to name a few). In these pictures we accomplished some everyday experiments that uses physics.
April Students of the Month
You know that saying "save the best for last"? That couldn't be more true when it comes to our April Students of the Month. Bailey and Thomas have very distinct personalities and attitudes. They definitely bring a fresh perspective to any situation.

Pi Day!
A mathematical celebration of the symbol for Pi! 3.14 is the shorthand version of pi and is used to find the circumference of a circle. (It incidentally happens to be my birthday as well!)
So to celebrate (and work on our math skills) the students in my math class decorated pi symbols and wore them for the rest of the day. :)

We are featuring two of our students this month: Mikaylah & Benson!

Science Fair
Science fair is one of my favorite times of the year! Testing new experiments and laws of science are great ways to investigate the world around you. Sometimes it can be a consumer driven question like: Which brand of chips has the most grease? Other times it can be a world issue: Can sunlight purify dirty water? Testing these questions not only makes us better scientists, but better thinkers as well!
Take a look at some of our projects below and remember to talk to your child about their experiment and what they might have learned from it!
