Red Ribbon Week--

Day 1: Hippie Day.

Most of these kids, and their parents, aren't even old enough to remember the "Hippie Days", but in true Americana fashion we use pictures and movies to show us the way. Here are some great outfits from our class.

Day 2: Crazy Hair Day

For most of us, all we had to do was roll out of bed and come to school. But some people in our class and in other classes really put a lot of work into their crazy hair!

Day 3: Wear Red Day!
I think we all own a few red things in our wardrobe, but there were some people who had red everything! They were really representing Red Day!

Day 4: Hat Day

Hat day was a fun experience and we had a lot of great hats! My favorite was Jadin's! That shark hat was awesome!

Day 5: Team Jersey Day.

I had to represent the team jersey day with my favorite player, Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics. Of course we had some other teams represented as well! Holbrook, Cardinals, DBacks, etc! Go Team Go!!!!

All in all we had a great week!!!

Fitness Day

As a culmination to our Red Ribbon Week, the teachers at Hulet put together a fitness afternoon. During this time, each teacher was managing a sport or area. While I, of course, manned the volleyball area with Mr. Hansen, there were several activities outdoors to choose from.

I LOVE COOKIES!!!!1 (and other healthy snacks!)

Thanks to Ellie for this delicious cookie. It was seriously the BEST cookie I had ever eaten in my life! Now I've been around a long time (28years) and I've eaten a lot of cookies (has to be over a million), so I think I know my way around cookies. It was delicious! Yum! Yum!!!!

Using Shapes

Tessellations are not a standard we have covered yet in 5th grade, but some students already know how to use shapes to create different pictures. Natasha and Tyler used shapes to spell my name! Awesome!
