Egg Drop Challenge

For the past 2 weeks, we have been studying force, motion, work, energy, and Newton's 3 Laws of Motion. To put Newton's Laws into perspective, we decided to participate in an Egg Drop Challenge.
Students had to create a device that would hold an egg and protect it from being dropped from various heights. Students could only use 4 materials (including tape). The inventions were really phenomenal. Some students used shoe boxes, some tried styrofoam balls, and others tried lots and lots of napkins. We had two winning teams that survived being dropped at 9 feet!!! Congrats to these team! Not only did they get an A+ for their design, but they are also exempt from the final test! Wow!

Hallie, Natane, Dylan, Julian, and Faye. Winners of the Egg Drop Challenge!

Surviving to 8 ft, we have Alex and Misty!
Surviving to 7 ft, we have Mikaylah!
Surviving to 6 ft, we have Shandiin, Emma, and Hannah!

Also surviving to 6 ft, Logan, Christian, and Frederick!
Surviving only a 1 ft. drop, we have Cory & Benson

Only surviving the 1 ft drop before breaking is Thomas, Angel, and Isaac.
